Ombre Quote Canvas

I'v been on a real gray and coral kick lately.  This simple sticker project will leave you with an awesome new canvas print.
Ombre Quote Canvas

So simple, give it a try!!

I can thank my 5 year old daughter for this awesome project.  While I'm working in my craft room she's always asking me for something she can make.  I had a canvas left over from a project that didn't turn out, so I gave her some different shades of orange and gray paint and let her go to work.  When she started I had no intentions of taking the project over, but after looking at her final product, I was inspired.  She painted them all in stripes which turned out to be somewhat of an ombre pattern.  After the paint was dry,  we used stickers to read "Every love story is beautiful but ours is my favorite".  With the stickers still on we lightly spray painted the canvas white.  After pulling the stickers off, we were left with this beautiful new sign.  She was so excited, as was I!!

Burlap Easter Bunny Canvas

You may have seen my previous post with my burlap stuffed bunny,  I had some remaining fabric left over that I needed to use up.  I decided to cover a canvas with the left over fabric.  I found a image of a bunny which I traced and cut out of burlap.  After glueing my bunny to the covered fabric, I added a bow and topped it off with a ivory broach.  So simple and so elegant!  Can't wait to put it out!

Vintage Bicycle Canvas Tote

Recently I came across this cute image on my silhouette machine and I wondered what I could do with it?  Than it hit me, a canvas tote bag would be perfect.  I printed the image out and used it as a stencil.  After the image was on, I thought I'd dress it up a bit and add some flowers to the basket and a banner on the bike.  It still needed a little something else to even it out.  As usual, I added a few fabric flowers to the corner.  So adorable, and who doesn't need a tote bag?

Vintage Santa Canvas

For this project, I started out by choosing this vintage santa image that I found on www.graphicsfairy.com.  I used the freezer paper method for printing which you can find at DIY life.  I've tried many methods before for trying to print on fabric and I've definitely had the most luck with this one.
I took a plain white canvas and spray painted it black to really make the white fabric stand out.  I painted on a very light coat of mod podge to use as my adhesive to attach my fabric to the canvas.  After I was done it still needed a little something else, so I added some stickers reading "Peace and Joy", some holly and a few berries.  I decided to use some glitter glue to give Santa's hat and jacket a little extra sparkle!

Canvas Projects

Here's a few different canvas projects I've made recently.  For this one, I was able to find a free printable online and print on printable fabric.  I frayed the edges a bit, glued it on, and added some fabric flowers.

For the background I put some tape across making horizontal lines and a few stickers creating the "you and me", I choose to paint mine yellow to match our bedroom.  After it was dry, I added some buttons to create a heart.
