Sack of Coal Treats

My husband throws an awesome charity event every year and happened to have these little black velvet bags left over from the event.  Of course my first thought is what can I use them for?  Than it hit me, little sacks of coal.  What a cute treat for my son's class!!  I filled the bags with chocolate coal pieces that I found at the Dollar Store.  For the tags, I came across these premade printables from Eighteen 25.  They turned out so cute, I know his class will love them!!

Wire Joy Ornament

This ornament is so simple to make.  Think of all the different words you could make!  All you need is some wire and twine and maybe a bell if you have one.  This would make a great gift or just some new holiday decor for yourself.
Wire Joy Ornament

Start out by taking your wire and bending it to form your word of choice.  After it's all in shape, find a cross point and tie your twine around it.  Next, wind your twine around the wire until the whole word is covered.  If you choose add your bell if it fits in anywhere.  Lastly, tie a loop of twine around, to hand your gorgeous new ornament!!  Pretty simple, right?
Would make such a cute gift!!

What To Do With Christmas Cards...

I don't know about you, but I always hate throwing all of my Christmas cards away.  Years ago, I decided to start saving them all.  To keep them all together and organized, I decided to bind them all together.  I made a title page for them, including the year.  It's already fun to take a look back at the past years!

Twine Candy Canes

I recently happen to come across some similar candy canes on Learning, Creating, Living.  I absolutely loved them.  Shortly after, during an outing to a local thrift shop I came across some candy canes myself, so I thought I'd give them a try.  Hers were wrapped in burlap ribbon, I thought I'd do mine wrapped in twine.  After I was done I added a bow, some pine cones and a few christmas greens.  I've made so many holiday decorations this year, I truly have no idea where I can go with these.  Regardless, I love the way they turned out and I'll have to make some room some where!!
