Love of my Life Pallet Art

I feel like I say this all the time, but this really is one of my favorite pallet signs.  I love the saying and the way the color combination turned out.  I've done so many pallet signs, take a look at some of the others here.
Love of my Life Pallet Sign

What a cute image, so used it!!

I found this image on my silhouette software and like usual, I decided to put it on a pallet.  After my pallet was constructed, I cut the image out and used it as a large stencil.  As always  I have no where to go with this one, but absolutely love it!!

Wood Quote Sign

You may have seen this before when I featured to on Vintage Zest a couple of months ago, but in case you missed it, take a look.  I don't know about you, but I just love wood quote signs.  Just add the trendy ombre pattern to it  and it makes it that much better!  I have so many quote signs all over my house and what makes a better saying than "This is our happily ever after"!  It's such a simple sign project, give it a try!!
Wood Quote Sign

I have a serious problem of grabbing wood signs of any sort, in hopes that some day I'll come up with a project to give them new life!!  For the most part there's usually something hideous on them, maybe from the 80's or even older!!  As ugly as it is, just remember, you can always just paint right over it.  For this one, I paid a whopping fifty cents!
To start, I took a few shades of yellow and painted them on in an ombre pattern across my sign.  After dry, place stickers on top of the sign to read what ever quote you'd like.  After all of the stickers are applied, give it a coat of spray paint right over the top.  Of course, to match your color scheme.  After your sign is totally dry, peel off your stickers, leaving the ombre paint showing through.
This is a great project for you or simple enough for your kids!  These wood quote signs make a great gift, maybe for a wedding or a new baby.  You options are endless as far as your quote goes.  Have Fun!!

4th of July Countdown Sign

The Forth of July is almost here (which is so hard to believe, where did the last six months go?).  Awaiting it's arrival, we needed a countdown sign (I mean doesn't every holiday?).  It turned out so cute, making an adorable addition to our Forth of July decor!
Forth of July Countdown Sign

No matter what the holiday, my kids love a countdown!  So I decided to make them one for Independence Day!  I started out by making a small pallet sign and painting it blue.  On my cameo I designed a "4th of July" text (you could also use basic stencils).  After stenciling that on, I added the chalkboard and the red starburst (I thought they might resemble a firework).
As usual I still wasn't satisfied, so I thought I'd add a banner in coordinating colors.  Let the countdown begin!!

Wood Chevron Crab Sign

As you may have read before, I'm giving my son's room a makeover.  Since we've decided to move to South Carolina, I thought a nautical theme would be appropriate.  I found this plain wood sign at good will and knew it would make a awesome sign for his room.  As I was browsing my silhouette images, this crab caught my attention. After painting the whole sign white, I  added the grey chevron,  and used the crab as a stencil.  When I was done, I added some rope around the edging.  Can't wait to get to SC and see how this whole room comes together!

"Loved by You" Pallet Sign

Again, back to my pallets!  Like in most of my other pallet designs, I came across this image on my silhouette software, and fell in love with it!  After constructing my sign, I decided to give it a white background.  As for the text,  after cutting it out on my cameo, I simply used it as a stencil.  I feel like I say this after every sign,  but, I think this one my be my favorite one yet!!

Family Date Sign

Yes, another date sign!  To start out, I took a wood plaque and covered it in chalkboard paint.  Than designed a template on my silhouette machine with family dates of significance, such as birthdays, wedding, and children's births.  At the bottom it reads "the difference a day makes".  After printing out the design, I used it as a stencil.  When my paint was dry, I sanded it down and give it a slight distressed feel.  Again, the signs mean so much more when they are personalized.
Don't feel like giving this a try, order one from my etsy shop!

Heart Burlap Sign

A long time ago I purchased a four pack of these 6x6 burlap covered signs.  Never doing anything with them, I thought it was time to use them up.  Glitter is so popular right now, so I thought I'd follow the trend.  Starting out by making a heart stencil, I filled it in with the silver glitter paint.  Still looking to plain, I drilled two holes to hang it from and threaded them with twine.  I thought the key would add a little dimension, and it was just what it needed.  Turned out lovely!!

Chalkboard Note Board

Some people can browse the internet for hours.  That's how I feel about the silhouette software.  There's so many amazing pictures giving me endless ideas.  I recently came across this pattern, which I thought would be perfect to surround a chalkboard.  I had this ribbon in tan and white, so I decided to stick with that color scheme for the pattern.  After painting it on, I distressed it a little to give it some character.  Perfect for an entry way to keep some notes!!   Go check it out at my etsy store Craft Crazed Mom.

I Love You Sign

While I was at the fabric store, this "I love you" pattern caught my attention.  It was so cute!!  I had a wood plaque at home that happen to fit the saying just perfect.  I painted the plaque red and distressed it a little.  After using some mod podge to attach the fabric, I drilled two holes in it and strung it with twine.  Adorable to hang anywhere for some new Valentine's day decor.  To purchase go to Craft Crazed Mom on etsy!

Wedding Chalkboard Sign

I love anything personalized!!  I've seen signs like this before and I thought I'd give it a try and make one of my own.  I bought a black 12x12 canvas and aged it with some chalk!  On my silhouette machine, I designed a template with all the names and dates I needed.
After it was cut out, I used it as a stencil.  Some of the words come out imperfect, which I'm great with, because it gives it that aged look.   I love the way it turned out, and it means so much more because it's personalized!!
