It's the perfect time to start your garden. These spoons could help you keep your herbs labeled or make an adorable gift. I didn't want to waste my own silver ware, so I took a trip to Good Will and found a matching set of six spoons for only 60 cents!! I took a large sledge hammer and hammered them until they were completely flattened. The next step was so simple, just take your spoons and dip them right into your chalkboard paint. Make sure to let all of the excess paint drip off and lay them onto a piece of wax paper. After dry, go ahead and start labeling!! Your herbs will love them!!

Apple Rice Krispie Treats
I have found you can make just about anything out of rice krispie treats. These may be one of my favorites!! Perfect for a teacher gift, fall party, or really, any occasion!! As for making them, start with your regular rice krispie treat recipe and add red food coloring. Shape them in to about a 2" ball. I found these green bubble gum sticks at Walgreens that worked perfect to resemble the stem. So easy and so darn cute!!

Vintage Bike Pallet
I've had many posts with my pallet art, but this one is my absolute favorite!! I had found this image on my silhouette software and I knew I had to put it on a pallet. After constructing my pallet, I printed the image out as a large stencil and painted it on all white. Instead of painting the banner and flowers on, I decided to do them in fabric to give it a little dimension. Unfortunately I still have no where to go with this one. Love it, and don't feel like making one yourself? Order one of your own at my etsy shop!

Strawberry Plant Teacher Gift
The school year's finally coming to an end. What are you going to get your children's teacher? How about a strawberry plant! I found mine at Walmart for only $1.98 along with this adorable mug. I added a simple tag reading " You are a berry special teacher". Such a simple gift to put together and I have no doubt, they'd love it!

School's End Sunglass Favor
With the end of the school year approaching, I was on a mission to come up with a cute gift for the kids classmates. While browsing threw the dollar bins at Target, I came across children's sunglasses and I thought that would make a great, inexpensive gift. On my silhouette software I designed a tag reading "Keepin' Cool". I have no doubt all the kids will love them!!

Malted Milk Pound Cake
I Love Pound Cake!! Add malted milk powder and it's even that much better. Put it in a mason jar for a great hostess gift or desert for a party!! Here's the recipe:
3 cups flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup softened butter
1/2 cup shortening
2 2/3 cup sugar
5 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup malted milk powder
whoppers candy
- Do not preheat the oven. Grease 10 inch tube pan and line bottom with wax paper or parchment paper.
- Sift together the flour, baking powder, malted milk powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat the butter, shortening, and sugar on low speed for 10 minutes. Add the eggs one at a time, blending well after each addition. Alternately add the flour mixture and milk, mixing well. Add the vanilla extract.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan. Set the oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C. Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the middle of cake comes out clean. Allow cake to cool in the pan for 1 hour. Remove to a cake rack and cool for at least 3 hours.
- If your making mason jar cups, cut pound cake into inch cubes. Fill mason jars up about 1/3 of the way with pound cake cubes. Cut up whoppers candy, put on top of cake. Put chocolate pudding on top of whoppers. Top with another layer of pound cake.
- I hope you and or you guests love it!!

Hyacinth Teapot
One thing I may have left out since I started my blog is that in my "pre mom" life I was a florist. At age 21, I bought a flower shop that I ran up in till my son was born, than sold, and stayed on as a designer for another 10 years. I have always loved flowers and designing!! Including this beautiful hyacinth. The scent is absolutely amazing and such a nice touch of spring. I decided to put it in a small teapot that belonged to an old set of china. It looks so elegant and would make such a great Mother's Day gift. Another option, you could pot the hyacinth in the teacups to make a lovely place setting.

Mother's Day Pampering Kit
Who doesn't love to be pampered? This makes a perfect Mother's Day gift. I went ahead and added a gift certificate for a massage as well. In the can I included a luffa, nail brush, a foot file, toe dividers, and nail polish. I found the printable tag at Plum Adorable. What mom wouldn't love this? I know mine will!
