It's been so long I hardly remembered how to write a blog post!! I took some time off to concentrate on my etsy shop, spend the summer with my kids, and work on some home improvement projects, but I think I'm about ready to start sharing them. It's time for my kids annual Easter treats!! This year I decided to go with a simple marshmallow treat! What kids don't like marshmallows, right? I designed the tags on my Silhouette Cameo, simply cut them out and tied them on. How simple is that?

Photo Tile Coasters

Photo Tile Coasters

Here's an easy and inexpensive gift that anybody would love! Try Home Depot or Lowe's to find your tiles. I think they came in a pack of nine tiles for not even $4! For the project, I started by printing my chosen pictures onto tissue paper. It did get caught in the printer a couple times, being it's so thin, so you might have to try more than once. I cut the pictures out to match the size of the tiles. Put a very thin layer of Mod Podge onto the tile. Make sure to use the Outdoor Mod Podge since there's a chance it will get wet. After your thin layer, gently lay the picture onto the tile, you may need to straiten it out a little. Let dry, and put on another layer of Mod Podge. I did repeat with a third layer as well.

The book page tiles, I used the exact same method, but printed an image on each of them.

Wine Pallet Sign

Yes, another sign!! Everybody keeps telling me to make a sign that has to do with wine!! Who doesn't like wine!! Actually me, but I do know that everybody else seems to!! So here it is!! What a cute saying!! As usual, after constructing my sign, I used a stencil to create the image. After distressing it a little, here you have it!!

Bath Sugar Cubes

I've always wanted to give these a try and I'm so glad I did!! My own bath sugar cubes!! They smell absolutely wonderful and leave your skin so soft and smooth!! My girls are also loving them in the bath. I'd highly recommend giving them a try!

Bath Sugar Cubes

Here's what you'll need:

1/2 cup Olive Oil or Coconut Oil (or oil of your choice)

2 cups White Granulated Sugar

Shredded Bar of Soap

An Essential Oil for your scent

Few drops of food coloring (your color of choice)

To start shred up your bar of soap ( I used a cheese grater). Next, place your olive oil along with the grated soap in the microwave for 30 seconds or until a soft creamy texture. Add in essential oil, sugar, and food coloring. Mix well! Place mixture in 9x11 pan. Push down so cubes will be compact! Let cool in refrigerator or freezer. After cool, cut into cubes!

You'll love the result!! Or use as a gift, who wouldn't like homemade bath sugar cubes!!

Fabric Flower Wrist Corsage

Well it's time for the Father Daughter Dance!! She could not be more excited!! So of course, she needs a wrist corsage. The theme this year is Neon/ Glow in the dark! So why not go with a neon wrist corsage! Instead of ordering her one from a floral shop, I decided to make her a fabric flower corsage.

To make it, I started by using some elastic to make the band and securing it with hot glue. Next, I made a bow out of neon ribbon and some tulle and tied it on to the elastic band. Using some felt and ribbon, I created a few fabric flowers. I glued my flowers, along with a few felt leaves in to the bow with some hot glue.

I have no doubt she'll love it!

Family Silhouette Pallet Sign

I've always loved anything personalized! A while back I had ordered some note cards with our family silhouette. All of a sudden it hit me, how cute would that be on a pallet sign? Luckily my Silhouette software program had all of the images I needed. Like always, I used my Silhouette to cut the image out and used it as a stencil. I love the way it turned out, and I have some new personalized wall decor!!

Just The Beginning Wood Quote Sign

Yes, again, I'm sharing my latest creation! Another wood sign! I love the quote on this one! After constructing and staining my wood base, I used my Silhouette to create a stencil. I decided to go with black, leaving it kind of simple!! What a great gift for a wedding or even a new baby!!

Burlap Jeweled Bracelet

Who doesn't love burlap and vintage jewels! Why not combine two of my favorite things into a gorgeous bracelet? I post this on This Silly Girl's Life o a couple months ago and now I thought I'd share it with you myself! I think it turned out just beautifully and I'm so excited to wear it!!

Burlap Jeweled Bracelet

I've had this gorgeous vintage broach laying around and I knew I had to come up with something to do with it. I decided to go with a bracelet and I'm so happy I did! To start, I folding the sides of my burlap ribbon in,to match the width of the broach. To secure it, I used some fabric glue. Next, I had to get the length right to fit perfectly around my wrist. After getting the length, I slid the buckle on and secured the ends of the buckle with a little more glue. For the raw ends of the burlap ribbon, I bought a large metal claw type closure for the ends. Find yourself some gorgeous vintage jewels and make one for yourself!

Find yourself a vintage broach and give it a try. It's so simple and you'll have yourself a beautiful addition to your jewelry collection!

Little Girl Wood Sign

Back to more signs!! I'm on a mission to stock up my etsy shop with some new wood signs!! I hope you like this one. It would make adorable decoration for a little girls room!! If you want to give it a try yourself, here's how the process goes. Start out by constructing your pallet base. Next I found this image on my Silhouette software which I printed, than cut out, and used as a stencil! I always feel like my project is incomplete, so I decided to add a few fabric flowers in the little girls hands. What will I decide next? Any requests?

Fabric Flower Mason Jar Pallet Sign

As I found this adorable image of a mason jar, I was determined to find something to make with it! So this is my finish product! I decided to put it on a wood sign and add all of these fabric flowers.

To start, I cut my image out on my silhouette machine and used it as a stencil, which I painted in blue. At first I was going to paint all of the flowers on, but after playing around I felt the fabric flowers gave it a lot more depth! Give one a try yourself! Don't feel like it, order one right here!
